We are a technology and services organisation based at the University of Chester’s technology park. We are data and tech experts (but with commercial brains) and boast decades of experience and knowledge (and grey hairs!).

With over 25 years’ industry experience across leading telecom, energy and retail businesses, Ian knows all about the audit and data challenges UK businesses face. He’s been there. Relentlessly curious, Ian drives the team to constantly develop new solutions through learning and refinement. Ian takes a pragmatic, personal approach with every client, listening and supporting them throughout their journey with Barcanet.

"You can’t beat the atmosphere of a live sports event. My favourites are Wimbledon, the US F1 grand prix, Golf Open and the Rugby World Cup. I’m a regular at Goodison Park, and run a team and play in a local 6-a-side football league."

Josh loves using data to tell a story. A Data Analyst by trade, Josh has progressed into the Head of Tech role at Barcanet, having driven innovation and creative solutions within the company from the beginning. Josh is the first of the development team to assess the client’s initial brief and devise solutions to give them useful insights. He plans the build, pools the talent required, then leads our tech teams to deliver tools to help our clients.

"I co-founded the American Football Society at uni. and play every week for the Crewe Railroaders.  I enjoy tinkering with tech - understanding how it works helps satisfy the engineer in me."
